What we build
Full-service deck work — from first sketch to the final stain.
Where we work
Built local, across the entire Durham Region.
We know the lot sizes, the lakefront exposure, and the permit process in each of these communities. Choose your town for locally relevant details, photos, and answers.

How it works
A clear, four-step path from idea to finished deck.
01
Site visit & honest estimate
We walk your yard, listen to how you want to use the space, and give you a clear written estimate. No high-pressure sales, no vague numbers — just a realistic plan and price.
02
Design & material selection
We help you choose the right material for Durham's freeze-thaw climate — cedar, pressure-treated, or low-maintenance composite — and finalize a design that fits your home and budget.
03
Permits & scheduling
We handle permit drawings and submissions with your local building department where required, then lock in a build date so you're not left waiting.
04
Clean, careful build
Our crew builds to code with proper footings, flashing, and hidden fasteners. We protect your yard and leave it cleaner than we found it.

Common questions
Durham Region decking FAQ.
What areas of the Durham Region do you serve?+
We serve Oshawa, Whitby, Ajax, Pickering, Courtice, Bowmanville, Newcastle, Port Perry, Blackstock, and Uxbridge. If you're just outside these communities, reach out and we'll let you know if we can help.
Do I need a building permit for a deck in Ontario?+
Generally yes, if the deck is attached to a structure, more than 600mm (24 inches) above grade, or larger than 55m². Small, low, freestanding decks under those thresholds often don't require a permit. We confirm the exact requirement with your local municipality and handle the drawings.
How much does a deck cost in the Durham Region?+
A ground-level pressure-treated deck typically runs $55–$85 per square foot, with composite and raised or multi-level designs costing more. We provide a written line-item estimate after a free site visit so you know exactly what you're paying for.
How long does it take to build a deck?+
Most residential decks are built in one to two weeks once permits are approved. Design, drawings, and permitting usually add two to four weeks depending on your municipality.
